MacKenzie Maio – Middle School Social Studies & Science Teacher

MacKenzie Maio is a passionate educator with eight years of experience teaching across elementary and middle school grade levels. At Creative STEAM Academy, she teaches Middle School Social Studies and Science, bringing learning to life through hands-on activities, technology integration, and differentiated instruction. She is dedicated to helping students build confidence, curiosity, and strong academic foundations.

MacKenzie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Kansas Wesleyan University and a K–6 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Her background includes teaching STEM, science, social studies, debate, and reading intervention, along with curriculum development and data-driven instruction.

When she’s not teaching, MacKenzie enjoys family time with her husband and two daughters. She loves sports and can often be found playing wiffleball with students at recess making learning fun both inside and outside the classroom.
