Block Schedule
Our unique block schedule provides the option to experience single- or double-subject immersion each day. All classes are designed to enrich homeschooling, with parents maintaining their role as the primary educators. We explore topics in greater depth than typical grade-level requirements, offering an alternative to standard public school curricula.
Our flexible schedule allows families to select the frequency and subjects that best suit their needs: Science is available one day per week, History/Social Studies one day per week, and English Language/Math two days per week. Classes take place from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with scheduling tailored to various grade levels. Participation in our classes, as well as the frequency with which you attend, is entirely at your discretion.
Classes
We focus on advanced topics, unique applications, life-skills and real-world applications and interdisciplinary approaches that extend beyond the standard curriculum. Our classes are an opportunity to enhance and deepen understanding of each subject.
At Creative Steam Academy, students don’t just learn by listening or reading—they learn by doing. Through our project-based approach, students dive into meaningful projects and interactive experiences that spark creativity and bring academic concepts to life. This hands-on learning model fosters real-world connections, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and communication—skills that are essential for success both in school and beyond.
Homeschool Hybrid Model
Creative Steam Academy does not assume responsibility for grading, record-keeping, or attendance tracking; we do not maintain attendance records for our students. We do not teach to meet the puplic charter requirements we teach to the whole child. Which means we while we meet the and exceed standards we might not do them in the same order, or how Charter Schools want. Your responsibility as the homeschool parent is to provide samples to your charters not our teachers.
Nevertheless, we do require families to sign a homework policy, ensuring their commitment to completing assignments should their child need to be absent from class.
Social Experience
Each day, depending on their program, students come to campus to learn alongside peers in a supportive, collaborative environment. Guided by credentialed teachers and subject specific experts, as they engage in meaningful learning experiences across a variety of content areas.
Charter Funds
Creative Steam Academy is neither a charter school nor an approved vendor with charter organizations, and as such, we do not accept charter funds. However, we collaborate with other vendors to host classes offered by them at our facility. Certain teachers in our programs may accept charter funds for enrichment classes they provide independently.
Creative Steam Academy families enroll in the homeschool of their choice–we recommend Suncoast Prep and BEST Academy but our vendors support all programs including but not limited to Cabrillo Point, Excel, iLead, Sky mountain, etc.
Academic Expectations
Creative Steam Academy does not assume responsibility for grading, record-keeping, or attendance tracking, and we do not maintain official attendance records for students. Our instructional approach is rooted in teaching the whole child—not in aligning with the pacing or structure of public charter programs. While we meet and often exceed academic standards, we may not follow the same sequence or methods preferred by charter schools.
As the homeschooling parent, it is your responsibility to submit student work samples directly to your charter, not to Creative Steam teachers.
That said, we do ask all families to sign a homework policy, affirming their commitment to ensuring assignments are completed—especially in the event of a student absence.

Family Interview: As part of our admissions process, we require a family interview to ensure that our program is the right fit for your child and your educational goals. Meeting both the student and their parents allows us to better understand your values, answer questions, and build a strong foundation for partnership and success at Creative Steam Academy.

Fall Semester begins August 25, 2025 we offer open enrollment throughout the year as long as there is space in the class. We have small class sizes. Space is limited and most of our classes are at capacity.
