Julie Bower

History Teacher

Julie Bower has been impacting young minds for 25 years of teaching experience. She taught second grade for 2 years at a small private Armenian School, she has substitute taught through Oceanside Unified School District, Saddleback Unified and Anaheim Elementary Unified School District. She also taught 4th grade for 10 years at a private school and second grade for a year at the same private school. She has taught multiple subjects, with her favorite being social studies.

Mrs. Bower understands that each child is unique and learns in their own way. With this in mind, she strives to incorporate different teaching strategies to ensure that every student receives a meaningful learning experience. She believes in fostering a lifelong love of learning in her students and encourages them to think critically and creatively. In addition to being a skilled teacher, Mrs. Bower has also become a mentor to her fellow colleagues. She continuously expands her knowledge and skills. Her impressive educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University and a Master's Degree in Education from the prestigious National University in Carlsbad, California and additionally, she received her teaching credentials from UCSD in La Jolla, California.

When she's not shaping young minds, you can find her in sunny Orange County, enjoying quality time with her husband and two lovely daughters, 3 dogs and 1 cat. Mrs. Bower's boundless passion for teaching and her passion for history make her a true standout in the field of education and a welcomed member of Creative Steam's Teachers.
