Craig Rousselot

ELM and High School Teacher

Craig Rousselot, MAEd, boasts a wealth of teaching experience spanning over 25 years with Middle and High School students in Southern California. Being a true LA native, he earned his degree in Broadcast Journalism from USC and then ventured into the world of selling Life and Health insurance for MetLife.

Alongside his wife Tracy, he raised their two daughters in Irvine, where he eventually decided to pursue his teaching credential from University of Phoenix.

Craig has taught a diverse range of subjects, including English, US History and Government, and Creative Writing, Craig has worked with both Prep school and at-risk students. In one of his most challenging and fulfilling roles, Craig spent 5 years at Drake Unit, a prison facility for boys aged 14-17 facing felony charges in Norwalk, California. Through his dedication, 20 of his students successfully obtained their high school diplomas.

Currently residing in Rancho Santa Margarita with Tracy, Craig's daughters, Kylee and Chelsea, have also followed in their parents' footsteps to become educators. In his leisure time, Craig indulges in his passion for baseball, having been a former player for USC, and has been playing the guitar since he was 9 years old. Formally Nicknamed by his students as Mr. R and his guitar.
